The video includes information about the life of Louis Braille and the contribution that he has made to mankind musically, and also by inventing the Braille alphabet which is used worldwide by blind people and the visually impaired.

He became blind after a tragic accident in his father’s workshop aged 3 when one eye was stabbed by an awl. He died aged 43 from tuberculosis – an airborne bacterial pathogen that is destroyed naturally by sunlight (UV – ultraviolet).

This video is posted on the anniversary of Robert Koch’s first presentation of his discovery of the TB bacterium on March 24 1882. It was not long before scientists discovered that direct sunlight (UV) destroys these bacteria in the air!

There is modern UV-C technology available for personal use and for air handling units in offices, public buildings, transport systems, hospitals and clinics. See http://www.relax-well.co.uk

The architect of St Martin-in-the-Fields was Sir Christopher Wren, 300 years ago. The windows were destroyed by bomb damage in World War 2 and redesigned.
