Meet Lydia Mansour, a remarkable woman who was struck blind by measles at the age of two and went on to found the Peace Center for the Blind in Jerusalem. At the center, those that have lost their eyesight are taught valuable skills like knitting and reading Braille. Souvenirs de Rio octobre 2009.
Dans le cadre de l’Année de la France au Brésil et à l’occasion du bicentenaire de la naissance de Louis Braille, le Maire adjoint chargé des personnes handicapées, a organisé, avec le concours de la Maire adjointe de la Culture et celle de l’éducation, un séminaire sur l’insertion des personnes handicapées, plus particulièrement l’insertion et l’intégration des personnes malvoyantes.
Des danseurs, masseurs, et karatékas ont participé à ce seminaire pour faire par de leur experience: “les différences quand elles se rencontrent sont source d’enrichissement”.
