BrailleTap is a mobile device text-entry method for blind users. It takes advantage of the user’s knowledge and higly developed senses to easily enable text input. It does not required any extra hardware, just a shift in the associations between keys and letters.
A letter in Braille is “codified” as a set of dots in a matrix. The users are therefore able to select the dots and select the desired letters.
