Presently, 40 Million people know the Braille system which provides the visually impaired with a means to read, write and express themselves. All thanks to the innovation and determination of a ten year old blind boy named Louis Braille.

    Great video. Now, in the spirit of accessibility could you possibly consider a voice over of the text so some blind people could appreciate this upload?
    As an extra note, it is not that hard to learn basic braille, and if you do so you could braille a letter to a blind friend. Even a short note on a blind coworkers desk (assuming they use braille) might be a nice gesture from time to time.

    Your dates are wrong. He was born in 1/4/1809 which would make him 200 today. (The statue at the end should have caught your attention. He went blind at age 3 and was accepted at the institute when he was 10. He started inventing the system in 1821 and finished when he was 15 in 1824.

    I think this is a great piece. And pretty awesome story considering Louis Braille was only 10 when he decided to take this on for all blind people.
