Why would a drive thru ATM have brail? A blind person shouln’d be driving..?

A federal law passed several years ago required ATM machines to provide equal access to disabled persons. The law doesn’t differentiate between drive-up or walk-up machines, so now ALL ATMs have to have braille letters available on the key pads.

How do blind people pick their profile picture?

How do typing people choose their profile picture imagine if you had a mean friend who knows what you might end up with.
Like on Facebook , myspace and yahoo answers that’s assuming they can even use the websites

BQ:Is their any Brail program so that they can read and answer questions here? I’m guessing I won’t be receiving an answer from a true blind person

I had my husband upload a picture of the guide dog puppy we are raising, and I use that for my profile picture. I used to have a picture of my working guide dog, but I switched it.
As for the use of the computer, I have a program called "JAWS" from Freedom Scientific which reads the text which appears on the screen. With JAWS, I don’t even have to have a screen; one of my computers does not have a monitor and I use that one all the time at work to access the internet. I use Yahoo and have both a Facebook and Myspace profile to keep in contact with all my friends.

Why would they put brail on vending machines? can blind people really see what they’re gonna buy?

They read the brail. Which tells them which numbers go with which products…

What do blind people who have never seen anything,see in their heads?

I mean when you are sitting on a chair, do you" visualize" it in your head because you can feel it? Please can I get some responces from the blind or people who have known ,or study the blind? Do they have brail computers?

That’s what I always thought when I saw the Brail letters on the ATM machings….as if some blind person is going to stumble up there and all of the sudden be right at home because there’s some Brail dots on the machine.

i didn’t even notice he was blind, i thought he has sight the whole time.
I mean no other characters caught on it, until the man who really wanted the bible saw that it was brail.

No, he did not conceal his blindness. To do so, would suggest that his blindness was somehow a weakness.

Side note: I was amused to watch Gary Oldman and Tom Waits in a scene together. (They played together in Dracula in 1992)
