For blind people. How would they drive up to them?
Because ATMs are made the same regardless of their end location. Some end up in grocery stores and banks where the brail is necessary, some end up in the bank drivethrough.
Because they would not be able to learn brail as they can’t hear any instructions. And they can’t learn sign language because they cannot see?
We work with lots of people who are deaf and blind. It’s hard but not impossible to communicate and teach children who are deafblind. Remember they may be deaf and blind but can still use movement, their sense of touch, taste, smell etc. to interact with the world.

This is a documentary about a boy (Ben Underwood) who has taught himself to use echo location to navigate around the world. Ben Underwood is blind, but has managed to do some truly extraordinary feats.

The New Jersey State Library’s Talking Book and braille Center hosted it’s 2009 Fall Festival on October 3. One of the activities provided blind and handicapped people the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a racing car and feel the thrill of driving. The car was provided by Accessible Racing, a non-profit corporation whose mission is to break down barriers and create opportunities. For many, this was this first time they have ever been behind the wheel of a car. What a way to start your driving career!

ALL atms are constructed with braillie for the sight-impared. NOBODY is stupid enough to make a few odd machines just for drive-thru atms!
