    I guess the only way I can answer is that I think they’ve tried to raise me as normal as possible. I mean they try to help me when they think I need it so I guess you’d say that they act like it exists

    Hm…you sound a lot like me. My sight is 20/850. I’m colourblind, I ahve no depth perseption, and no perefial vission. It can be a lot at times. How do your parents handle your blindness? Do they act like it doesn’t exist or do they make it apart of who you are? I’m sorry for the random questions, It’s just that, I’m adopted and I guess my parents weren’t ready to take in a blind child and they have no idea what to do…

    First of all this isn’t a dumb question. Its a hard question to answer though. I understand what colors are, and I can see and identify some bright colors but it just depends on the shade of that color. For example, if it is a really bright red then to me it looks pink.     This is a very dumb question, and I apologize in advance for it, but I was always curious to know how blind people understand the concept of color. Do you know what color is? If someone tells you something is red, do you know what that means?
