does eli conceal to people that he is blind?

i didn’t even notice he was blind, i thought he has sight the whole time.
I mean no other characters caught on it, until the man who really wanted the bible saw that it was brail.

No, he did not conceal his blindness. To do so, would suggest that his blindness was somehow a weakness.

Side note: I was amused to watch Gary Oldman and Tom Waits in a scene together. (They played together in Dracula in 1992)

    Eli does not conceal his blindness, he just chooses not to volunteer it.
