Great beat by NmCmal!

Lyrics:
Let me be straight up, 12 of your bars can’t stand the test of time/against one of my lines/cuz the rumor’s/I’m a tumor/you are just benign/
It’s true though I’m benevolent/compared to your malevolent/irrevelent/psychobabble that doesn’t please the reverends/
yet it never ends/this cycle of hysteria/that’s like a bad case of malaria/so let’s quarantine the area/and leave ‘em with the cure/
how do we round ‘em up/just turn up the beat up/and watch me smoke it like beef: the perfect lure/
Then they’re stuck in the prism/of lyricism/giving them/vivid visions/of rhythms/that have been written/
a prison/to only those who don’t open their ears and listen/so they’re closed behind bars until they fulfill their mission/
so I got it on lock/won’t stop/’til the tick tock/of my lifetime’s clock stops/
but hip hop/is like my heart and my brain automatically lets its blood flow/through me/truly/it’s the only way it should go/
would go/easy but tell me what is that good for/musically challenging is what I thought MC stood for/
ready to square off if don’t think I’m an einstein/equalling your eradication–Now who’s the wiseguy/
my my you’re still sutuck on twelve/then my only advice is take a minute to delve/
deeper to notice there was no need for doubling up/the number of bars/that were up to par/one was trouble enough/

Why do the ATMs at the drive thrus in banks have braile wrighting on them?

I’m guessing that all the buttoms of the atms were made with the braille on them so, when they put a drive thru it’ll have it too.

How do I convert text to Braille?

April 28, 2010 - 7:18 am 2 Comments

I have my text document ready. Now I want to convert it to braille. How? is there a braille font? Or an online converter that allows me to copy and paste braille into Microsoft Word?
Well I’ve found an answer, I just downloaded a braille font, wrote what I wanted and then converted it with the font.

OK I may be stating the obvious here. If you already know this sorry, but Braille is raised, not printed, dots on paper. The blind read it by feeling the dots. That means Braille that is simply printed can not be read by any blind person. I know Braille because I used to have a blind friend. I used a stylus (like an awl) and a braille writer (a kind of guide) that punches out dots onto the paper. Again, sorry if that wasn’t the point. If you simply want a braille alphabet for a sighted person to learn from I’m sure that would be easy to find but a program that would convert words to braille would not be of much use that I can see.
NOTE — when you write Braille you must write the letters backward, because the raised dots are a mirror image to the ones you punch, therefore to read and write braille you must literally learn the letters backward and forward.

What section is best to ask a question about Braile?

April 26, 2010 - 5:07 am 11 Comments

I put it in the languages section and just got retarded answers
my question is:
is it true that there are only four symbols for letters of the week?
i have a pill case that has Braile on it and some of the days have the same symbol

Bullfighting.

EDIT – Oops! Sorry, silly answer to a sensible question…The days of the week in Braille only have the capital letters of that day, the position along the box would show (a blind person) whether it was Tuesday/Thursday, Saturday/Sunday on items such as the pill box.

Why is there braille on the seat controls of a 18 wheeler?

April 26, 2010 - 5:07 am 6 Comments

I understand what the braille is for, but why would it be on an 18 wheeler? I thought there were regulations about driving an 18 wheeler.

It is not braille, it is just identifying bumps so that you can tell which switch you are pushing without looking. Although most drivers know which switch they are using just from memory, and what the seat does when they press the switch. Simple. It’s kind of along the same lines as the bumps on the F and J keys of a keyboard, or the bump on the 5 of a calculator. They are there, but people rarely use them.
